If a teen girl writes lies about herself on Myspace making her look like a tramp, how long will it haunt her?

A friend of mine is very upset, her daughter wrote about partying and drinking, but she doesn't even leave the house. If you didn't know her and read what she wrote you would think she is a big time tramp...but she is not. Well since she wrote that to some kid on Myspace she has being getting requests to be friends and ongoing texts from guys from her school. She doesn't think she did wrong but her mother took her Myspace and text messaging away. How long does anyone think that she will be a target? She is a sopre in high school. Is this kid telling others about what she wrote? I hope I made sense, I feel for my friend.
