Why is my 5 week old crying so much?

My daughter seems to be happy when she isn't crying, but the problem is she usually fusses and cries through out the day. It seems that she does it for no reason. If I'm not holding her or if she doesn't have her pacifier in her mouth, she cries. I always have to engage her in something to keep her from crying; placing her in her bouncer to rocking her to singer to her and cuddling her. Of course I like doing all of these things with her, I just don't want her to be unhappy. Also, she is well fed and changed regularly and there are no other obvious reason for her to be crying. With that said, is this normal? She just seems so fussy yet its not extreme to the point of it being colic.
