To the atheists--perhaps the trouble is that religion beats atheism on non-logical fronts?
It seems obvious to me that no one comes to religion for logical reasons- no one says " hey, all powerfull benevolence- that fits all my subjective data-hmmm, of course" but rather they grew up with religious types or they have cancer or homelessness or other desperation and there's a religion with it's charity or comfort. So I think the atheists (and I'm one) need to match the religious on this battleground. If someone is dying of cancer or their mother is dying or they're starving there should be an atheist group to help them out.Actually I guess that would be the humanists. We don't hear from them much because they hold it as a precept that arguing God's lack of existence is pointless. We need atheist charities.
