Hydrogen Peroxide on wounds?

I got a big wound on my leg because of a high speed skid. My jeans tore of and leg got hurt. Is it ok to put hydrogen peroxide every time I change the dressing? If not what should I put? Also please tell me the best way to take care of the wound and what to put on it. I am on pain killers and antibiotics.
