Why do planes smell like ham sandwiches?

After a long flight plane air seems to smell like a ham sandwich...And no there was not necessarily ham on the menu. Has anybody else noticed this? It's stale air but it seems to smell like ham sandwich. Is it b.o. or bodily emissions (ahem) or is it food or wa? It's put me right off eating ham sandwiches thats for sure

You're body was probably not used to the dietary change, especially if you ate a lot of sugar before. So possibly the recent drastic increase in sugar caused your skin to break out. I wouldn't worry about it, it will probably go away in a few days. Just monitor your sugar intake and eat it over a period of time, instead of all at once, to decrease the chance of it happening again :)

Radioactive iodine for hyperthyroidism?

I read online that radioactive iodine was one of the treatment options available for hyperthyroidism, but i read somewhere that if you are under the age of 20 or 25 you shouldn't take it. Is this true? At what age is it ok to have radioactive iodine as a treatment for hyperthyroidism? I thought that it only affected your thyroid and was safe. Please answer if you know! Thanks!

When someone uses the F-word, why do they afterwards "say pardon my french!"?

They are equating the curse word to a foreign word. In etiquette, when using a foreign word that others don't know, you'd say "Oh sorry, that was french for ..whatever..." So the speaker is saying in a way 'Oh gee, that wasn't a curse word,it was a word in french!" Thus, supposedly, taking the sting out of the word and apologizing for it at the same time.
